about half of these have been perpetually on my top ten for years, the other half tend to switch around a bit, depending on my latest "crushes"

and I'm starting to think we should branch out a bit and have a top ten pop list, a top ten soul list, a top ten jazz list, well you get the idea...

but for now, and in no particular order, here goes:

1. The Kinks The Kinks are the Village Green Preservation Society

2. The Byrds Sweetheart of the Rodeo

3. Big Star # 1 Record/Radio City (hey it's a double album CD, so sue me!)

4. David Bowie Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars

5. Bach The Brandenburg Concertos

6. Isaac Hayes Hot Buttered Soul (you just GOTTA have some soul!)

7. Various Artists The Harder They Come (again, you gotta have some reggae!)

8. Led Zeppelin III (sometimes you just need your Led Fuckin' Zeppelin)

9. The Beatles Rubber Soul

10. Electric Light Orchestra The Box Set (again, it's a 3-disc set, so sue me)

Check with me again in a couple months, and some of these will probably have changed... but there are the immutable few which have not varied for years...
